The first week of October is one of my favorite times in Albuquerque. The weather is beautiful, the air smells of roasting green chili, the kids have a couple days off school for fall break, and the sky is filled with hundreds of hot air balloons every morning. It really is the best.
This year we didn't do a morning ascension, but just attended an evening balloon glow show. It was so much fun.
Before the balloons started to go up, they had a really cool show with hang gliders that we had never seen before. The kids thought those guys sure were brave!
We also had fun walking through all the shops and vendors and picking up from freebies. The girls looked good in their new shades.
Olive brings such a fun energy everywhere she goes.
I love these four babies of mine. They are so cute! It was fun to see Karly's reaction to all the balloons and being able to get close and touch them. She was loving every minute of it.
This balloon inspired some great fishy lips from my crew.
The kids loved visiting many of the balloons and collection cards from the pilots. It's such a fun little thing they look forward to every year.
This frog was a highlight because none of us had remembered ever seeing this one before.
But we definitely remembered all the Star Wars balloons and the fun characters who are around.
It really is such a beautiful site! The weather was nice, and we had such a fun family outing.
We ended the night with a spectacular fireworks show. They put a lot into this one!
Ah balloon fiesta - how we love you!! Thanks for the fun family memories.

The Glowdeos are fun because it’s evening time and less chilly. We have had some great memories at Fiesta through the years!
