For our Halloween party, I asked Bentley to plan a scavenger hunt for all the kids. In no time, he had written these fun clues for the hunt. He is so creative, I love it!
Welcome, guests, this scavenger hunt!
Only a few brave explorers can do this stunt!
So first–if you dare–look in the place where
A tall basket with no bottom
Stands on a tall 10-foot column.
Great job, ghouls! You found the first clue,
Which leads you to the place,
Where a clavier stays.
It has 88 keys without any locks.
Make sure to hurry and beat the clocks!
Keep up the good work, jacks!
Your next clue includes stacks–
Look for a clue that is next to
Small blocks you use to create
Cities, estates, or even whole states!
Next clue you need, skeletons,
Is a place you bounce (a TON)
It’s meant to help you jump high
High as a witch can fly.
Snakes and spiders, you are fast!
This clue is next to last.
So go look ‘round a room of shoes.
There you’ll find your final clue.
Almost there, ghosts!
I liked being your host.
Your next clue is hidden in a room where you watch.
It has lots of black chairs and movies (top notch!)
There you will find
A treasure designed
For tummies that like sweets.
HAPPY Halloween!

Time to turn up the Halloween music and carve some pumpkins! It was so fun to have grandma, grandpa, and the Murdoch family to join us!
