Fondue Baby Shower

Most my friends have several kids now so it's been a while since I've attended a baby shower for a first time mom. I was even more excited when I was able to throw the shower for a first time mom! Catherine Smouse graciously allowed me to plan a party for her, even though she was brand new to town and didn't really know anyone. It ended up being such a fun night of fondue cheese, caramel and chocolate, and lots of laughing and visiting. We are so excited for her to welcome her first baby into the world soon, and we hopefully didn't scare her too bad when we all started sharing labor stories.  :)

Congrats Catherine and James!

FaceTiming with Daddy

Brad was in Milwaukee for a few days for NMFN annual meeting so we are very grateful for FaceTime that allows the kids to see him every day.

All except for Olivia, who wasn't grateful to see him at all but instead was extremely heartbroken. So sad but also so cute!

The Asay's Kids at Our House for a Week!

Tiff and Cam went on a cruise through Alaska, so we got to keep the Asay kids at our house for the week. It was such a blast, and so good to spend more time with those kids who we don't get to see nearly enough. Eden and Wren were like two peas in a pod and were so happy and giggly the whole time. They even made up their own language and would babble back and forth and giggle with each other for hours. They were so cute.

Brody got to spend a couple nights down with the boys at the Harding house so that was nice for him to get around his buddies there. And Jade got to spend lots of time with her good friend Tatum who lives not too far from me. Bentley, Olivia and Cooper were my three amigos and we pretty much stayed right on top of each other the whole week. :)

Cooper and Olivia are just a month apart in age, so they were pretty close to the same schedule with naps, etc. which was nice, but I learned it would definitely be so busy to have twins! I noticed that in most the pictures, only one or the other is in them because the missing one was always off getting into something somewhere. They kept me on my toes for sure!

We had tons of fun though, playing in the water toys out back, park hopping, playing board games, the mall play place, and lots of other fun activities to keep everyone busy. I hope they had fun, because we sure enjoyed having them here!

Jade and Tatum decided they would do a spa day for the turtles. It was cute.
Grandma came up to visit and brought donuts. That was a huge hit of course.

I even loaded them all up and went down to grandma's on one of the days. They had a blast down there too of course.

One of the many shenanigans from these two.
Brad took some of the kids tadpole hunting which ended up being hugely successful. I think they counted around 40 tadpoles that they caught and brought home that day.

Without knowing it, they also ended up catching two of these incredibly creepy creatures. So weird. Eden accidentally picked one up out of the muddy bucket thinking she had grabbed a tadpole and she totally freaked out (not nearly as bad as I would have though!). Yuck!

Cotton candy!

Pizza at the park.

One of the days Cooper didn't take much of a nap so we were trying to find things to keep him busy until bed time. Obviously going on a walk was not a good idea because the cute little dude fell asleep sitting up in the wagon. ha!

Jade was so cute when she suggested manicures to the girls. They were so excited and requested "Frozen" nails like Elsa. Jade did a great job with two very picky customers.

And Olivia got her cute little toes done too!
Overall it was such a great week and we are so grateful for the fun time we were able to have with our adorable cousins! We can't wait to have them again!
