The Babystrology Counter...
I debated back and forth about whether or not I wanted to put that baby countdown on here this soon because frankly, I didn't want to see how big that number was. 187 days? That seems like SOOO far away! Well I just hope time flies! Also, at this point I think the baby in that bubble is kind of freaky looking... our little baby is much cuter than that already! :o) We are so excited, can you tell?!

Big News from the Justice's
Well it's official, after a long wait, here we go!

Here's the picture from our ultrasound yesterday. The little baby is laying on it's back with a fist in front of his/her face, and the little legs sticking up in the air. These pictures are always hard to see and make sense of, but the ultrasound technician said that our little one was making it harder than usual with his/her crazy movements. The baby was extremely active so everytime she would try to take a picture he/she would move around too much and they would come out blurry. It was so cute to watch and such a miracle to know that we have this life being created inside of me right now. This was the first time Brad had the opportunity to hear the heartbeat and I know he was moved by it, just as I was the first time I heard it. It is all so amazing and still somewhat of a shock for both Brad and I, but we could not be happier and more excited for what's to come! I am just starting my 13th week so we're one third of the way down!
For those who can endure all the reading - I have to tell the whole story of how we found out about this because we find it pretty amusing. Brad and I have been trying for quite some time now so I decided to go to the doctor to make sure that there weren't any major problems that were prohibiting a pregnancy. The appointment began with lots of questions and discussion about possible problems and possible plans if there were any problems. He then said he wanted to do an ultrasound to make sure that there weren't any cists on my ovaries. [ do you see where this is going? :o) ] He began the ultrasound and not long after he smiled and said "you're really great, I'm really glad you came in today." So I thought that was pretty weird and don't know if I responded at all, but then he said "you're already pregnant!" I was absolutely shocked to say the least. I think the only thing I could manage to say was "are you sure?" and he of course said yes, I'm positive. So he proceeded to show me the images of the baby on the screen (which at this point just looked like a little tiny bean) and he even put on the heartbeat. At this point I couldn't hold it in anymore and just started getting all emotional and just feeling so overwhelmed. Of course, Brad wasn't with me, so the doctor (beign the great guy that he is) said he wanted me to go back the following week with Brad and we could do the ultrasound again. The other funny thing about this is that I was already going on 9 weeks before I had this appointment. So I was two months down and didn't even know it! Brad was just as shocked and amazed by it all and it actually took us a couple weeks to let the info sink in before we really started to tell people. I think the ultrasound yesterday really made this seem more real for us both and I can only say that it's amazing how much love I already feel for this little baby that's only two inches long!

Our Valentine's Day Get-Away
So finally.... I'm getting around to posting again. A couple reasons for the long delay:
1. There hasn't been anything too photo worthy in the last couple weeks
2. Who really has the time to keep up on this stuff? :o) Life is crazy, that's all I have to say about that.
Brad still had one night free stay (courtesy of Northwestern Mutual) at the Hyatt Tamaya resort in Bernalillo (just about an hour north of us) so we decided that the best time to take advantage of the offer was for Valentine's Day! It was oh-so-romantic. :o)

When there's only two of us we have to be creative in using the timer, so that's why you get the long look of the lawn chairs.

Here's Brad posing by one of the three pools, and the water slide which he really wanted to go on. It was a little too cold for that though.

Here's another one of the pools. The water in the pools was actually really warm, but there was nobody else swimming so we took that as a hint that it was just a tad too cold outside.

It almost looks as if someone took this picture for us, but no... this is strategically placed on top of the dresser using the timer.

Here's a picture of our room. The back door opened up onto a patio which then led out to the swimming pools and hot tub.

So the resort has several bikes that people can borrow so we decided to go on a little ride through the bosque. Brad was trying to take a picture from his bike as he was riding and he actually managed to get a couple good ones with both of us in the picture!

It was a little cold, hence my red nose, but we had a lot of fun.

Here's Brad posing on his bike. I think they must choose weird, old school style of bikes so that people aren't tempted to steal them. :o)

Here's a pose with a little New Mexico winter scenery.

So they have this hummingbird farm, but we didn't see any.
Overall it was a fun night and Brad and I hope to go back in the summer sometime when we can enjoy all the fun outdoor activities a little more. Thanks Brad for the romantic night away and I look forward to many more fun Valentine's Days with you! :o)

Dancing the night away!
On Saturday night we went to the decades themed Valentine's dance at the church and had so much fun! Scott and Cindy were part of the decorating committee and they did a great job! So with the decades theme, everyone was encouraged to dress according to a decade so Brad and I had to hit up Saver's earlier in the afternoon to find the perfect outfits. We were actually fortunate to find complete 70s outfits and we ended up winning the costume contest for that decade!

I think Brad was way too comfortable in this outfit. Check out those legs... How come tight pants don't make my legs look that skinny?!

Here's the picture of us before heading out to the dance. We had to do the "prom" type pose before leaving. :o) And don't even ask about Brad's expression, I have no idea....

I couldn't help myself, I love these picture props. I couldn't get Brad to participate though...

Here we are again taking a break from all the dancing.

Here's Scott and Cindy. They totally look like "old Hollywood".

And even my mom and dad came to the dance! They didn't quite get into the costume spirit, but it was so fun having them there!

Oh and we even found this great purse at Saver's that matched perfectly with my dress and the overall "look."

So this is our other friend Scott... he may be embarrassed that I'm posting this picture, but that's what he gets for stealing our camera while we were out dancing. Lucky for you Kristie, I won't post the picture he took of you. :o)

Dancing the night away.

Here's a picture of the beautiful poster that Cindy made, and it was all done free hand! I am so impressed by your artistic ability Cindy! Great job.
Overall, it was a great night and such a fun way to spend our Valentine's evening!
