Cousin Camp

While we were in Utah, Eden got to escape for a couple days with grandma and grandpa and the big kids for cousin camp. This is something she looks forward to SO MUCH.

They did so many fun things - like the skating rink and Lagoon amusement park.  They also ate out and stayed in a nice hotel.  It was pretty fun stuff, with no little kids to get in the way.  Grandma shared a few pics while they were away which I was grateful for.  She loved every minute of it.
Thank you grandma and grandpa.  She really loves this special time and the memories you all create together! So much FUN!

Baby Lola and Our Trip to Utah

Baby Lola has arrived!! It ended up being much more dramatic than planned, with an unexpected c-section, but she is here safe and well and Erin did amazing.  Brad had to spend the week at girls camp as the high counselor, but I had to go see this sweet little thing, so the kids and I packed up and headed to Utah!  My mom was already up there, so my dad joined in with us which was so nice so I didn't have to do the drive all alone.
I couldn't wait to get my hands on this sweet little baby. She was tiny and so precious and I'm so grateful I could be there to hold her, still so fresh from heaven.
Karly kept herself busy during our road trip. I was sure to keep her far from the brand new healthy baby. ha ha

We were able to stay at the Asay's house and had lots of time with cousins.  It was so much fun.
At one point Michael took out his eyeball and that always creates a group of confused small children.
We spent one afternoon at the reservoir on the tubes and kayaks.  The kids had a blast.
Unfortunately a rain storm came on quickly and kicked us out of the water hole, but the kids were happy just being at the house together hanging out.
We spent another day at the Museum of Natural Curiosity which is a favorite every time we go to Utah.  I was terrible about taking pictures, but they had a blast.
We were all having a blast together, but all I wanted to do was snuggle this brand new baby!  It was tough because I didn't want to take my kids along, but also didn't want to keep abandoning them for someone else to take care of.  I was longing for more time with the sweet baby, but I took what I could get and enjoyed it greatly!
Eden was lucky to get a special visit, just her and Wren.  She was so excited to meet her brand new cousin Lola.
I was sad to go, but the time came for us to return home to our lonely daddy.  I was sure sad to say goodbye to this sweet newborn knowing she will be big by the time I see her again. It just wasn't enough time, but I'm sure grateful I got to go.  I loved being with family and for the kids to be with their cousins. It was a great week. Welcome to the family Lola!

Karly and Jude's Wedding

Eden and Avery asked to borrow my phone one afternoon to take some pictures of something they were doing upstairs.  Erin and I later found out that our 9 year olds were putting together a complete wedding ceremony upstairs.  It was actually pretty darn adorable and funny as we looked through these pictures.

Here are the fabulous bridal photos.  What a pretty bride in her golden and white gown.

And the handsome groom, wearing a..... cape??

The moment that makes the 9 year olds squeal of laughter - the first kiss.  Oh goodness.

And then it appears that the bride tried to run away.
Then she came back but was no longer willing to be photographed with her new husband.

And then the camera turns to selfies of these two crazy girls.  Eden and Avery - I'm sure glad you two have each other.  Life is good when you have a best friend.

May Family Visit

This week we were able to have the May girls stay a couple days with us as they were passing through town to get to family.  We love when they come and always pick right back up where we left off.  The girls loved being together and dressing up, which then inspired a whole makeover party.

The three big sisters (Eden, Makayla and Lilly) were very professional and gave all the mini princesses beautiful makeup, hairdos and manicures.  These girls were all completely in heaved.
Poor Bentley - he just watched from the sidelines, wanting to be involved, but not really wanting it all at the same time.
So it was time to bring in some boys and do something they would all enjoy.  The Divett's joined us at the Ventana pool for an afternoon swim.  That water is cold, but it did't stop them from having a great time!
The following day we met up for a picnic at the park and the kids immediately got sucked into the huge sprinklers on the field.  They had a blast, but learned to not stand too close to where the water shoots out - ouch!
When it came time for bedtime, there were bodies everywhere!  Good times.
We love you Mays!  See you again soon!
