Miscellaneous Pictures from March

Our Easter bunny family is complete.  This is by far one of my favorite decorations.

Eden and Bentley got to go on a special "daddies and kids" date with the May family to see the new movie Zootopia. They were super excited.
Where does the blanket end and the dog begin?
Lots of fun things are always happening around here!

Karly - 2 Months Old!

Growth Stats:
Weight:  11 pounds, 7 ounces  -  54th Percentile
Height: 22.8 inches

This sweet baby has changed so much in the last month! Her cheeks are so chubby now and I can't stop kissing them! Seriously, she smells so good, and something about kissing her like crazy makes everything right in the world.

She is super smiley now and her siblings love that they are starting to get some real interaction from her.  She smiles and "talks" to them and they each just feel so special to her. It's cute to watch.

She is sleeping really good, which is a huge benefit to me. It was rough there for a while when I was chasing the other two all day, and up with her several times a night. Now she usually goes to bed around 9 or 10 and gets up around 5 or 6 to eat and then goes back to sleep. It's much better!

She isn't totally attached to the binky, but does like it most of the time when she is almost asleep. Other than that though, she just spits it out right away. I'm still not sure if she is going to be a thumb/finger sucker like all her siblings.
She has such a sweet disposition. She is very patient and calm and takes quite a bit of abuse (I mean LOVE) from her siblings. If you can catch her eye, you're sure to gets lots of adorable smiles and squeals.
She makes the funniest facial expressions and makes us all laugh a lot.
She still likes to sleep swaddled, so in the morning when I get her up and unwrap her, she does the biggest and best stretches with all four limbs going out in opposite directions as far as possible.  It's so precious.
She is just the sweetest baby ever. Her personality is the perfect fit. We love her to pieces. Slow down time!

Easter Celebrations!

Each day in the week leading up to Easter, we had a small lesson and activity to represent what Christ was doing on those days leading up to His crucifixion and resurrection. The kids were totally engaged and loved learning and doing the activities. It ended up being a great way to really focus our whole week on Christ too.

So on Easter the kids were so excited about what kinds of treasures they would find. They each had an umbrella, and under the umbrella they found a few treasures, and then they also had a little egg hunt around the house.  Suffice it to say, breakfast that day consisted of a lot of candy.

After playing with their new goods for a bit, we joined grandma and grandpa in their ward for Sacrament meeting, and then we met up with the Hardings too at grandma and grandpas house for a day of fun Easter traditions.

I remember so many years of making these bird nests growing up. I love that my mom is carrying on the tradition with her grandkids.  Once their nests were done, each kid got some jellybean "eggs" and a little yellow "Peep" bird to put in their nest.  We discovered that Olivia loves Peeps and she ended up eating quite a few birds out of several of the other kids' nests, although she was thoughtful enough to usually leave behind the head.

Karly didn't get to join in on the activities, but she sure got lots of love and attention from everyone.

Grandpa was a genius when he rigged up this double swing contraption. It has saved us from many toddler fights for sure.

The dying of the Easter eggs is an absolute must do tradition, although I'll be honest when I say I really don't enjoy this activity much. It ends up being so chaotic and crazy, but the kids enjoy it so that's what's most important.

Then we had an Easter egg hunt and the kids took it very seriously. The yard is huge, so they got quite the workout because they all literally ran the whole time, which makes taking pictures a little difficult! They all ended up with a huge pile of goodies by the time it was all said and done.
Olive was so cute and excited as she ran around collecting eggs. She started the day off with candy, ate about 16 peeps (minus the heads) and then ended the day with tons of candy. I'm really surprised she didn't throw up that day, it was that bad. She sure enjoyed herself though and was so funny and cute.

I'm so grateful for holidays, fun traditions, and the opportunity to spend them with family. It was a great day.
