When I ask Olive to clean her room, this is how it turns out. She feels like it is clean. So I try to leave this as her efforts of clean, but every few weeks she has to try to make it a little more like my type of clean. We usually have to meet somewhere in the middle. Olive loves stuff, and keeping it organized just isn't a priority!
I'll just do as she recommends when her messy room is bugging me - "just close the door mom!"
