Olive's baptism day was a pretty special one. She was so excited to be able to be baptized in the swimming pool, just like Bentley was. Due to come rescheduling conflicts from the pool company, it was almost a baptism in water that wasn't heated, but fortunately it all worked out and we were able to get the heaters going in time for the water to at least be comfortable.
Olive looked so beautiful, and was all smiles and she was getting ready for her baptism to begin.Olive had asked Eden to play harp music as prelude, and to play for everyone while Olive got changed after the baptism. Eden did a beautiful job, and it really helped to bring a calm and peaceful spirit into the room.
Karly was asked to give a prayer for the baptism. She was so nervous, but she knew it was important to Olive, so she was able to do it.
Bentley was asked to give a talk on baptism and he was so sweet and thoughtful in the things he prepared to say.

The ordinance itself was so beautiful. Eden and Bentley got to be her witnesses. We were surrounded by so many friends who have been growing up together with my kids. These great friends are like family to us, and we are so grateful for them and their participation in our lives. These kids have spent many hours over here having crazy, loud pool parties, but today, there was a peace and calm that came over everyone as this pool became a symbol of Christ, and a sacred place. It was beautiful.
After the ordinance, these sweet missionaries gave a great talk on the Holy Ghost. We have appreciated having them in our home and their good hearts and Christlike service.

The bishop then asked Olive if she wanted to say anything and she bore a sweet testimony too. It was very brave to be put on the spot like that, but she did so great!
So many friends joined us in love for Olive today, and we appreciated it so much! After the baptism, we got to make ice cream sundaes, and Rachel brought her adorable CTR cookies.

The kids loved having time to hang out a bit after the baptism.

We are so grateful for this opportunity for Olive to be baptized and take this step towards being more like her Savior. She has such a genuine heart to do and be good. I'm also so grateful for the many friends who supported us for this special occasion. My heart is full.
