Malarsie Family in Utah!

First of all, I just have to mention this first picture of all 16 Malarsie grandkids. How amazing is this?!  Seriously, what's better for kids than having a group of cousins to grow up with?! So much fun, and so much personality. I love these kids.

We had our annual family reunion in Utah this year. Michael and Jesse were generous and brave enough to open their house up to the large group. There were so many fun activities, including Erin and Kike's wedding, which obviously needs a post of it's own. We had an absolute blast and love being able to get together.

The day we arrived was Sunday the 5th and Jesse surprised Eden with a big chocolate birthday cake. She was so happy and excited to have her cousins with her on her birthday.

We made a trip to BYU so Brad could show the kids his old stomping grounds. He was so excited to have them there, and we had a lot of fun with our big group roaming around campus and getting some BYU gear at the bookstore.

Wren, Eden and Kadence were inseparable. They walked around campus with their arms around each other.

After getting ice cream at the Creamery, we took the kids into the Bean Museum which they thought was very interesting.

On another day our little family went up to Salt Lake to show the kids around the Temple grounds. This was their first time there so we went to the temple and toured some of the museums and family history center. They were very inquisitive about all the different things they were seeing.

In between keeping the kids busy on various outings,  Karly gots LOTS of attention from all her cousins. Those girls were in heaven having a little baby around.

We went to play at a splash park and it was pretty crowded so the kids started to get bored after only about an hour so we had to come up with a plan B. Jesse recommended we go to a place called Daybreak, which is a neighborhood that has their own private small lake with a beach.  We ended up staying there for several hours and all the kids had a blast playing in the water, and digging in the sand. It was beautiful up there too and ended up being the perfect adventure.

Another adventure was going up the canyon to hike a bit, take some pictures in our "Malarsie Project" shirts for Mike and Jesse's website, and then we picnicked and played in the reservoir. We had so much fun. There's nothing like spending hours enjoying the beautiful outdoors!

Brad collected big rocks and made a dam which ended up making a nice little pool of water that became the site of Cam's dare for the kids. They had to dunk their heads under water and he paid them $1 or something silly. They loved it though.

We went to a park with these huge wooden buildings and the kids thought this was the coolest part ever. The weather kind of took a turn for the worst and it got pretty chilly and a little rainy, but we had a blast while it lasted!

And aside from all these great outings, we spent a lot of time back at the house playing games, and hanging out. It is so fun to get together, and so great to watch the kids make memories together. I wish we could all be together more often!

Erin and Kike missed out on a lot of the adventures with the family because they were busy doing wedding day prep, but we were so excited for Friday to roll around so we could get these two married!!

Overall it was an incredible trip. We went on so many adventures, and left so many on the table for next year! I'm so grateful for this family and love them so very much.
