Olive's Zoo
I love this picture so so much. Olive spent some serious time developing this most adorable zoo. These types of things are my treasures.
Well done Olive - so, so cute!
A Date with Karly Rose
Karly loves to go on dates, and she LOVES when dad takes her the most because of all the sugar they are sure to consume. I mean really, a four year old with her own adult size service of nutella crepes?! She looked pretty pleased about that. ha ha She also loves playing games while they wait for their food - just like her twin, Bentley.
Preschool is going great and she is having so much fun with her friends and learning all kinds of good and new things!
I can't get enough of her cute, natural curls. So adorable.

The Movie Star Caterpillar
Recognize this guy from the movie "A Bug's Life"? Brad found him hanging out in our backyard!
The kids, of course, were mixed in their reactions to hold this big guy. All of them had a hard time picking it up from the bucket, but everyone did it! Eden wasn't home, otherwise she would have loved this too!

The Furniture is Disappearing
We are a week away from closing on our current house. We are moving out because we have do, even though the new house isn't quite ready yet. A lot of our big furniture from here isn't going and has slowly been disappearing over the last couple weeks. We are now without a kitchen table!
Restaurant Etiquette
It can be really expensive, frustrating, and exhausing taking four young kids to a nice resturant, but Brad and I both feel strongly that teaching them to behave properly while dining out is a very important skill. Sometimes it goes great, and we have even received compliments from strangers about what a cute family we are, and other times - I question why we would ever attempt anything other than Chick Fil A. But it's worth it, right?
I noticed only two kids are in the picture. I'm not sure where the other two are so perhaps this was one of those failure nights. :)

Michael's Speaking Engagement
This month is suicide awareness month and the Air Force base here invited Michael to come speak to an audience about resiliency. I was very fortunate to be able to attend his presentation and though I know his story well, each time I hear him speak, I hear a new message prepared specifically for his current audience. I was very moved by him and felt all the emotions of the heartbreak again, and the pride that came after seeing how resilient he became through his struggles. He is very inspiring and a very good speaker. I happen to think he is pretty awesome.
While they were here, Brad and I were also able to enjoy a date night with Michael and Jesse. We took them to the resturant at the base of the tram and enjoyed a nice dinner together. It was a great reconnection point for us all. Thank you Michael!

Bentley the Ninja Warrior
Bentley was a champ at this obstacle. He seriously looked like a tree frog with sticky feet and hands. He would jump off the small trampline and just stick to the side of the walls on the far right, and then walk himself across. He made it look so easy so I watched this obstacle for a while and most everyone struggled to hold themselves up high, or make it the whole length. But not this ninja. He rocks!
