Three more school projects in the books! All science projects for us this semester. Karly got to teach her class about the History of Planet Earth. She is already such a confident presenter. This was her second project for the year and when she was done she was so sad and said "I just want to present more!"
This was her drawing that she created for her slideshow.
We got to do some demonstrations about how movements in the earth create rock layers.
Then we went outside and Karly taught them about erosion and they got to do some experimenting. She loved being the expert.
Bentley's project this year was about energy transfer through ecosystems. He got through his slides pretty quickly and then led the class in a fun game with stations of different things in the ecosystem and based on how they rolled the dice, different things would happen to them and the energy would continue to transfer. Hard to describe, but super fun to play. His class loved it.
Olive's project was about magnets and she had so many fun demonstrations and activities for her classmates. She is just so much fun to watch when she presents. I love her enthusiasm.
These projects are a lot of work, but when I watch my kids present it reminds me why it's worth it. Their confidence is amazing to watch. I love that they can lead discussion, answer questions, and be the expert. It's a lot of growth for sure. Well done kids!
