Another Denver Hospital Follow-Up

October 23rd was Eden's bronch to check her airway.  My mom graciously agreed to go with me to help with the drive and with my two little ones while Eden and I were at the hospital.  In order to have some fun with cousins too, we decided to go up a day early and spend some time hanging out and visiting the Children's Museum.  The kids had a blast.

I actually got him to hold still and look!  Amazing!
Check out her little hand.  Cute little poser.

Eden and Wren loved pretending to be veterinarians.

Bentley moved pretty quick from one exhibit to the next, until he found the ball exhibit.  He was entertained here for a very long time.
Olivia discovered the suction when she stuck her hand into the tunnel.  She thought that was pretty funny.
Cooper is adorable, and Olivia loved messing with his pacifier even though it was attached to his shirt.

Precious babies!
Brody read a bunch of books to my kids, it was lovely!

As for the medical update - Eden was a champ as usual.  She had to fast until her procedure at around 1pm.  She was still happy though.
Hanging out waiting to go back to the operating room.
Everything with the bronch went really well.  Her airway continues to heal nicely and look really good.  Dr. Prager is very happy with it, and didn't have to stretch it or manipulate it in any way.  AMAZING!  We feel so incredibly blessed to have things working so smoothly this time.  He will see her again for the next bronch in early January.

Once we got discharged, our first order of business was getting her a good meal.  We went across the street to Panera and she was very excited about getting a grilled cheese sandwich.
She looks so beautiful.  It's crazy to think she just underwent a procedure with general anesthesia.  She bounces back so quickly.

Before we left for the hospital, Eden was sad she couldn't have breakfast with the other kids.   Grandma was very sweet and gave Eden $1 to buy herself a treat when she could eat again.  She was delighted when she saw the cookies at Panera.  :)

All around, I just feel so incredibly blessed.  I'm grateful for my mom for her willingness to travel and help me so much.  I'm grateful for my sister who lets us stay in her house and all that goes along with that.  And most especially, I'm grateful for the progress Eden has made and that things are working so smoothly this time.  She has been through so much, and it feels so good to leave there with positive news each time.  Life is good.

A Helper to Feed Olivia

Quite often Eden will ask to help feed Olivia.  Sometimes it works, and sometimes not so much.  It sure is cute to watch though.

Galluping Grace Pumpkin Patch

As a fun Saturday morning activity, we loaded everyone up and headed over to the pumpkin patch where they have lots of fun activities for the kids.  At our house it was beautiful and warm so I didn't bring jackets for everyone.  Then we drove about 20 minutes north, kind of out in the middle of nowhere for this place and it was really cold and windy!  Poor Bentley didn't have a jacket so we had to make due with putting him in Brad's very large jacket.  It mostly worked.  :)

They really loved feeding the goats.  We keep trying to convince grandma and grandpa that they need goats so all the kids can feed them and play with them while we visit.  One more thing to love about going to their house! :)

The pigs kept pushing the goats out of the way in order to get food too.  Bentley was going to go for it, but I kept stopping him because I wasn't too sure about those pigs and whether or not they would take a finger too.
It's impossible to get them both looking at the same time.
Olivia was content to stay nice and cozy in her carseat while the others played.

They both loved changing the outfits and hats on these wooden dolls.  We stayed here for quite a while.
The corn pit was also tons of fun. Olivia was very unsure at first and just sat frozen staring at it.
Before long though she was digging in and then, of course, trying to put it in her mouth.  It made her VERY mad when I would stop her.

Everyone picked out a pumpkin or two.

Some pumpkins we saved for carving, but a few got some Disney Characters to get us pumped and excited for our upcoming Disneyland trip!

Having kids is so much fun!

Olivia really wanted a cupcake...

I was doing dishes when Olivia caught my eye because I couldn't tell what she was working so hard on.  She was wearing a diaper with cupcakes on it and I realized that she was focused so intently on getting one of those cupcakes into her mouth!  I got a couple pics while also shooting a video of her trying to hard to get those treats.  It was absolutely adorable.  She tried for a very long time and I finally had to intervene when she was starting to actually scratch the diaper apart and put that into her mouth.  Surprisingly, she never did get upset or frustrated that she just couldn't ever get ahold of those cupcakes. Cute baby.

A letter from Eden...

Olivia is Crawling!

It's official!  This girl is mobile and she's getting around fast!

It's so cute to watch her go!

Dates with daddy...

When Eden got invited on a date from her daddy, she insisted she get dressed up in a nice dress, and comb her hair out "flat".  Her daddy made sure to tell her how beautiful she was when she came down the stairs ready for their date.  :)

When Bentley got left behind he was very sad, but the following night was his turn and he was very excited to go on his date.
I told him to smile big and this is what I got.

I'm grateful my kids have these special memories with their daddy.  :)
