Christmas Eve

I love when Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday.  It just brings the spirit of Christ and the meaning of Christmas so strong at just the right time.

The kids were looking adorable in their Christmas attire.  I remember both Eden and Olive wearing that same dress Karly is wearing around Christmas time too.  Cute!

After church we went to grandma and grandpa's house to spend the remainder of the day. Erin and Kike were there too so it was awesome having the time to visit with them as well.  First activity on the agenda - ginger bread houses!
Looks like Bentley consumed one of those blue candy canes already.
Karly didn't really care to make a house, but she sure loved sampling all the house decorations!
Grandma was having a lot of trouble with her house.  She just couldn't seem to keep her walls up.  Her and Olive were giggling away together the whole time.
Dinner was a delicious feast - turkey, tamales, potatoes, veggies, rolls.... yummy! We sure missed the rest of the family though.  It was sad not having my other siblings or any cousins there!
These kids were so excited for the Christmas eve tradition - opening up a new pair of PJs.
I decided to go matchy-matchy this year, and I'm so glad I did!!  They were also so surprised and thought it was very funny as they opened them up and noticed they all got the same thing.
These are the four cutest little Santa babies ever!  I love looking at each of them in this photo and seeing their personalities shining though.  This is the cutest.
Then off we went to get these four babies into bed.  They were so excited for Christmas morning!

Lunch with the Mays and Divetts

The May family was driving through town on their way to Las Cruces for Christmas.  It was fun to meet up with them and the Divett's for lunch so we could catch up and see all the kids.  We sure miss them and love our time to visit, even if it is short.
12 kids under the age of 10 between the three families so it was a little crazy in there.  The kids were having a blast though! Until next time Mays!

Playing with the Presents

We don't put too many presents out under the tree before Christmas because when we do, these kids just can't contain the curiosity!  It sure is fun to watch them shake them, squish them, and everything else in order to make a good guess as to what's inside.
No peaking kids! We can't wait for Christmas!

Meeting Santa

We went to a Northwestern Mutual Christmas party and the kids were very excited to see Santa there.  He had a stocking full of goodies for each of them.  The fidget spinners were definitely the highlight (Brad and I snatched all the movie tickets! ha ha).  Thanks Santa!
I guess it can't really be December without seeing Santa at least once, right?!

Brad's Birthday

It wouldn't really be Brad's birthday without his favorite chocolate cake.  We had so much fun celebrating this great dad and husband.  He always makes life more fun, including his birthday too.

The highlight of his gifts was the new Star Wars figurines and the date night to see the new Star Wars movie that was just being released.

Happy birthday!  37 looks good on you!

Olive's Preschool Christmas Show

Olive has sure loved being in preschool one day a week.  She always has so much to tell me about.  Today her class did a performance of some Christmas songs and she loved every minute of it.  She is quite a star up there!

I took several pictures of Olive with her class and teacher and every one had these kids in different poses, making different expressions.  What is it with kids and holding still for one minute?! At least I happened to snap one of Olive looking right at me.  I'll consider that a win.
Thanks Ms. Brittany for your fun class!

Eden's Piano Recital

We were so excited to hear Eden perform at her piano recital!  She had been working so hard on her songs.  She was able to to play one solo piece, and she also played a duet piece with her bestie, Avery Haslam.

Before the recital, they practiced together in the primary room and they were so giggly the whole time.  They were very focused and serious when the time came though.  They were so cute.
Eden was a little nervous, but she played her piece perfectly and felt so excited and proud when she was done.
Sister Raquel Hess has been an awesome teacher for Eden.  They have a lot of fun together.
Grandma and grandpa were there at the recital with us. We are so grateful for their support and love.
I'm so proud of this girl.  She is so awesome.  I look forward to many more of these recitals!
