Grace Pickett's Baptism

I love being able to experience the baptism's of our friends kids.  These little ones have been friends since they were tiny.  It's so fun to see them grow and experience these big life moments together.
Congrats Grace!

Bentley's Project on Weather and Climate

Bentley's science project this year was on weather and climate.  He had to make a slideshow presentation and have a little activity or something for the class to participate in.  He decided he wanted to show them how to make a rain cloud.  Before doing it in class, we had to practice a couple times at home first.

Then the presentation day came.  He did such a good job telling his class all about the things he learned and wanted to share.  He has already grown so much in his confidence being in front of the class.  I love that these projects give them the opportunity to do some public speaking. He did awesome.

He showed them all his slides, answered some questions and then demonstrated the rain cloud for them.  He was so cute.
Well done meteorologist Bentley!

Shopping Date with Eden

When it's Eden's turn for some one-on-one time, she requests shopping at the mall.  My little girl is growing up! She loves to take her own money a choose a thing or two.  She is a browser for sure and could wonder the mall for hours if I let her.

Today she settled on a Build-A-Bear.  She was so excited to count out her money and pay for her new friend.
I sure love spending time with this little lady.  She is maturing and turning more and more away from childhood.  I feel both sad and really excited about this.  She sure is fun to hang out with.

Big Kid Growth Stats

Eden and Bentley recently went to their annual well-child check ups.  I thought it would be fun to save their growth measurements here.

Eden: our cute little mini
49 inches tall, which is in the 4th percentile
47.5 pounds which is in the 2nd percentile

Bentley: Mr. Consistent
25 inches tall, which is in the 27th percentile
44 pounds which is the 26th percentile
Since he was born, he has always been in the 20-30th percentiles for weight and height.  He is consistent!

Cute Little Princess

While sitting next to Olive in church, Brad was having a moment of appreciating how cute and precious she is, just sitting like a little lady in her cute princess shoes.  Can't we just freeze time??!!

Who's Having More Fun? Mom, or the Kids?

What started as a fake threat of punishment towards one fighting child quickly turned into a game that everyone but Karly wanted to participate in.  Strangely I found an extreme amount of joy in dunking my children head first. Fortunately they found an extreme amount of joy from this too.
This picture of me holding Eden looks pretty bad, but I promise she was happy about this too. ha ha

This tiny little pool sure has brought a lot of joy and fun around here!

Soccer Time!

Soccer season has begun!  This time we have Bentley and Olive both playing.  Our Saturdays now include two games and it is so much fun. I really do find so much joy watching my kids play.

Bentley is like an old soccer pro and anxious to get back out on the field.  His age group is not yet playing positions, but he naturally seems to fall into the mid-field position, which is what I played!  It will be fun to see how he evolves as a soccer player over time.

Olive is excited to be a soccer player now too.  She is super social and is constantly trying to chat with her teammates as her coach is constantly trying to get her to focus on soccer.  :)  We shall see how this all plays out!  She is so fun to watch.

I also had the chance to referee for some of Bentley's games. That's a fun job, but I found I'd rather be cheering for my boy from the sidelines because as ref I have to be pretty quiet and unbiased. ha ha

I love soccer, spending time outdoors, and watching my kids learn and grow in something new. Fun times!
