Happy Birthday to the Twins

Happy birthday to our favorite identical twins!  These two girls are the absolute best.  We adore them and I love watching my kids love on them too.  It has been such a treasure to watch them grow up, and to be able to share so many experiences with them.

The twins LOVE to swim so we were very happy that we got to host their birthday party this year.  There's nothing cuter than a 3 year old girl, so double that and it's almost unbearable.  

Happy birthday Isla and Indie!  We love you girls!

 

Rock Climbing at School

Today I got to volunteer at the school for a very cool rock climbing activity.  I was very impressed with both the girls and their strength and bravery to get all the way to the top.  I love that we have been able to experience a lot as a family which makes things like this give them the confidence to step right up and give it their best.  So grateful for that, and I love watching them do things that give them some adventure and confidence!

Good job Olive and Karly!  I'm cheering you on and am impressed by you both!

My Lunch Buddy

50% homeschool has given me the chance to have lunch with my buddy every day.  I love it so much.  Usually he wants to get right to his homework as soon as he gets home, so I don't get his full attention, but I'll take it!  Then, when the homework is done, he will hang out with me. :)  These are special years with my boy and I'm grateful for this phase of half day school.

 

Another Eclipse

I don't remember having the opportunity to see a lot of solar eclipses, but within the last year there have been two!  We have taken advantage and made sure we watched them both.  What a crazy and interesting phenomena.  I'm grateful to marvel at nature with my favorite people.

 

Sports Fans

Sometimes soccer games in the spring are very cold and windy.  Brad and I have the best wind breaker, sleeping bag type outfits, and we know how ridiculous we look, but dang they are warm!  Sorry if we are embarrassing Bentley.  We try to yell his name less when we are looking like caterpillars on the sidelines.  ha ha 

We love watching this boy play though.  Often on the way home, he doesn't want to rehash the game, he just wants to listen to his music and decompress.  I love him.  

I'm proud of you Bentley, and I love watching you play!

 

Percy Jackson Play

Karly and Olive have both been watching the new Percy Jackson TV series (and Olive and Eden have read all the books).  So since they are all loving it, when we heard the Rio Rancho High School was putting on the play, we had to go!  Annie Pickett's nephew was the main actor and she had recommended the show, and it did not disappoint.  In fact, it was awesome and we all loved it so much. Some of those teenagers had some amazing talent in singing and acting.  We were blown away!

Turns out the Sego cousin is a cutie and Eden got teased about him for quite some time.  :)
