Grandma's Birthday

We asked grandma what she wanted to do for her birthday and her request was to spend the day together at "the beach".  Before heading out to the sunshine though, I did sneak away with her for a nice pedicure first.  :)

We got our toes looking nice and then headed out to the sand of the Rio Grande.  It's a simple thing, but we do all have so much fun out there playing in the mud and swimming in the slow current.

The kids had made some cute birthday cards for grandma and then after our picnic lunch we ended our outing with some delicious birthday cake.

Happy birthday grandma!  We love you and we are grateful we could spend this day with you!
