NM State Fair

NM State Fair!  Such a fun place to go each year, and with kids it made it an even more fun experience.

These strange little creatures are called Sugar Bears.  Eden was immediately smitten and wanted to take one home.  Brad was also starting to get a little excited too until he googled it and realized they would be a lot more work than the salespeople were letting on.  So fortunately, Eden was just as happy taking a brochure, cutting out all the pictures of the sugar bears and taping them all over our house.  She is satisfied, and we saved a lot of money and time!  They were definitely very cute though.  :)

They loved getting their faces painted and then admiring themselves in the mirror.

This captures their personalities so perfectly.

My pretty girl!

Cutest boy ever.

While Eden was in the hospital, she watched the movie "Charlotte's Web" quite a few times and I guess in that movie they go to the state fair and ride on a ferris wheel.  When we told her we were going to the fair she was so excited to go on the ferris wheel.  When it came time to get on though she got very hesitant and changed her mind, but I forced it and she ended up having a very good time.
I love Bentley's expression in this picture.

Cute girl.  She was definitely excited and squealing every time we went around the big circle.

You know you're in trouble when you have to use two strollers and one is even a double!

This little shop might as well have just said, "Justice pantry" on it.  So many choices....

Eden wasn't so sure how she felt about the fried Oreos.  After each bite she just kept looking at it with very strange expressions.

Sweet little Olive fell asleep during the pirate show.  The fair left her feeling quite worn out.
Fun times!  Until next year!

Picture Update

A little lipgloss for Bentley from the pirate princess.

I love my cuddles with this sweet baby.
Eden got some fake fingernails in her package from our ward and she was so excited to put them on.  They didn't last though because she quickly realized it was very hard to function with really long nails.

Olivia loved the swing at the park.
Listening to, and watching the rain fall.
Brad bought a big box of worms to feed the turtles and Bentley loves to dig around and play with them.  It's so gross, but I of course tell him how cool they are.  :)
This girl loves her fingers, and now a blankie up there by her face too.

You can never have enough moments like these.
Bentley and I like to do experiments while Eden is at school and Olivia is sleeping.

Eden got to have a bike parade at school last week.  She loves going to school which is so nice.

Bentley and Quaker.
We had one final visit to Cliff's before they close for the season. We had so much fun there this year and we are looking forward to next year!

Playing in the shower is one of their favorite things to do.
Precious little soapy bodies. I love these kids.

Squishy face

Fun was had by all - including Olivia.  There was a lot of laughing all around.

Even Olivia was giggling through it all, until the stretch face.  Then it was no longer funny and she didn't want to play anymore.  :)

Bronch update

Good news! Once the bronch was done, Dr Prager came out to visit with me about what he saw and he was happy with the progress so far. There is some scar tissue but so far it's not causing any obstruction so he didn't do anything about it. She has been prescribed a neb for two weeks to try to help stop that scar tissue growth. He was able to fit a 4.5 cm tube down her airway and there was even a little leak around it. Last time he checked the 4.5 tube fit with no leak. Growth! He said too that it was doing well enough on it's own so far that he felt it wasn't necessary to stretch it or dilate it or anything. Amazing! So we have been cleared for a month before we come back for another bronch. Whoo hoo!

Since the procedure was so quick and they didn't need to manipulate her airway in any way, they actually discharged us from recovery so we didn't have to stay the night as planned. That was definitely a very unexpected and happy surprise.

Eden had been fasting all day so she was very hungry. We went downstairs to the cafeteria so she could pick out her perfect meal. She chose a bagel with butter, chips, chocolate chip muffin, Oreos and water. Ha ha
Overall I am just so incredibly happy. As I was talking with Dr Prager I just felt so much happiness and a huge sense of relief. We aren't out of the woods yet, but we are off to an amazing start which feels so good.

So after we left the hospital we drove down to Parker and spent some time with Steph, Griffin and Maddie. Today we have had tons of fun hanging out with Tiff and her kids. Wren and Eden have had so much fun together.

Tonight is Jade's birthday party so we have been helping decorate and get ready. Eden is very excited to be able to be here. I'm so glad she has been able to have so much fun this trip so she doesn't always associate Denver with the hospital.

In the meantime I received these pictures from home. Looks like the kids there are having tons of fun. I'm so grateful for my mom and my amazing hubby for taking on so much while I'm gone.

Last night Brad text me this picture and said, " I just got up to get her bottle and came back as she was out!"
This picture is just so cute and so sad at the same time! I miss her and just want to scoop her up and snuggle her.

Tomorrow morning, bright and early, Eden and I will board our flight home. It's been a good visit with lots of fun and some fantastic news so I'd say it's been a huge success!
