Bringing Olivia Home

Olivia was born Saturday morning, so by Monday morning I was dying to get out of that hospital and home to my other babies. Unfortunately, Olivia was not a fan of the carseat and still cries every time I put her in there. The good thing is that once she starts moving she instantly calms down. So here are a couple pictures of Olivia leaving the hospital.

The drive home seemed like it took forever. I was so excited to see Bentley and Eden, and so excited for them to meet their new baby sister. It was a precious introduction for sure. Eden especially was so giddy and excited and just wanted to hold her as much as possible.

Every where Olivia was for the rest of the day, these two were watching over her. :)

Her cute little "Going home" outfit, and her precious tiny hand before we cut off her hospital bracelet.

She's just beautiful, and we are so overwhelmed with gratitude for her.

Our 48 hour stay in the hospital

Because I was Strep B positive and didn't get both rounds of antibiotics, they said Olivia would have to stay in the hospital for observation for 48 hours, which meant I was staying there too! She didn't need to go to the NICU or anything, she just got to stay with me which was very nice. Unfortunately, because it's still flu and RSV season, nobody under the age of 14 is allowed in the unit so the kids weren't able to come visit and meet Olivia. I missed them so much, but it was also nice to have a couple quiet, bonding days with my new sweet baby girl. Fortunately, technology is an amazing tool and we were able to do FaceTime with the kids every day. It was so great to see them and their reaction to seeing Olivia was precious.

Brad went with her to the nursery to get her footprints and her first bath. He did a great job taking pictures. :)

She didn't like the sponge bath too much, but it looks like she was much more relaxed getting her hair washed.

We had lots of visitors which was so nice. I loved having family and friends come and keep me company. :) Unfortunately I didn't get pictures with all our visitors, but here are a few Brad was able to take while he was there too.

Jesse also took some beautiful pictures for me which I'll put in a separate post. I'm so grateful for her willingness, time, and talent to capture these memories for me!

And sometimes, in between all the fun, there was a little bit of sleeping going on and lots of cuddling with this sweet girl.

Sweet baby Olivia, we love you so much!
