To Denver again...

Yesterday Eden and I boarded a flight to Denver and left the rest of the family behind. It was so weird packing for this trip and not needing a checklist to make sure I didn't forget any medical supplies or machines. Both our stuff fit in one small bag and a backpack. So weird, and so nice! It was almost too easy though and all morning I kept running through everything I had packed because I just didn't feel like I could have possibly gotten everything she needed.  Turns out the only thing I forgot was my own pj's ha ha.
We had a lot of fun traveling together. She is such a fun little buddy, and taking just a five year old with no toddler or baby was so easy and stress free! :)  disclaimer: I really love my babies but traveling with them is physically and emotionally exhausting for me.

It took forever to get our rental car and Eden kept saying, "this place is so boring" but eventually we made it out and over to Tiff and Cam's house in Erie.

Eden was so excited to see her cousins and she didn't even bother eating her dinner because her and Wren were so anxious and excited to play.

They surprised Eden with her own Elsa dress complete with a long sparkly train. She was so excited and her and Wren looked adorable and played Frozen until it was time for bed.
Thank you Asay family for the very thoughtful gift!

Eden and Wren got to have a slumber party and they were very excited. I slept in Jade's room next to them and this morning I woke up to the sounds of them whispering and giggling. It was very cute.

My mom is home with my little ones during the day and Brad is with them in the evenings. Last night Brad sent me this picture of Bentley and said they were watching a show with Icabod Crane where two guys were fighting over the same girl. Looks like it was a little intense for my boy :)
And today I got this picture from Kally. Looks like there is lots of fun going on at my house!

And as I type this, I'm sitting in the bed next to Eden and we are waiting to go back to the operating room. She is watching "Doc McStuffins" and is totally sucked in. Part of the problem is that it's 12:30 pm and she hasn't been able to eat anything. I should have been better about forcing her to eat more last night but I forgot about this fasting. I know she is extra hungry but despite that she hasn't complained at all. She is the sweetest and so mature about it all.
More updates coming soon!

Lego bike

Bentley was playing legos in the kitchen while I was helping Eden get ready for school a couple mornings ago. He likes to build a park and he loves the lego bike and sometimes carries it around with him when he is done building his park.  He came to me asking where he left it, and of course the search began.  We looked all over the place and this is where I found it!!
Anyone see that darn lego bike?  Olivia?
This cute girl was just playing with her other toys with that stupid bike hanging out of her lips.  Legos have been so fun for Eden and Bentley, but this little girl is going to keep me on my toes!  I have to teach those other two that the legos have to stay away from the baby!
Busted!

Costumes

The kids already picked out their Halloween costumes and have been wearing them a lot.  Hopefully they will still be in one piece by the time Halloween actually rolls around.  :)  They are having tons of fun though.  For a while Eden was saying she wanted to be Elsa from Frozen, but then when we were looking through costumes at Costco she very quickly realized that a pirate princess is what she has always dreamed of (or something like that came out of her mouth).  ha ha

Cutest Ninja ever, who insisted he didn't need the pants.  Hopefully that will change before Halloween too.

Sword fights!  The ninja vs. the pirate princess

Eden's pirate costume already came in handy and scored her a free dozen donuts from Krispy Kreme on pirate day.  That was fun, and look at her adorable pirate face!

Wicked!

Last weekend we got to see the broadway show "Wicked" with my parents and Kally and Dallen.  We had dinner together first and then went to Popejoy.  It was an amazing show, probably one of my favorites, and so fun that we could enjoy that time with my family!

Olivia on her hands and knees!

Olivia is starting to get up on her hands and knees sometimes.  She never stays in this position long, and she isn't attempting to crawl yet, but I have a feeling it won't be too long.  I'm excited and sad at the same time!  She is growing up so fast, but it's so darn cute.  :)

Potty training!

This past week I bit the bullet and took on potty training with this cute little guy.  The first day was a little rough.  We played lots of things in the kitchen or outside all day long so it was much easier to clean up the messes :)  By day two he already had it down pretty good.  He has had only a few accidents since and is pretty proud to wear big boy underwear.  I think he looks pretty stinkin' cute in his undies.  It's also very cute to watch him get up on the big toilet.  He has to climb around like a little monkey before he is in place, but he is absolutely firm that he needs to do it all by himself, which I am totally ok with.  :)  Good job Bentley!

Olivia - 6 months!

6 Month Check-Up Stats:

Weight - 17lb 8 oz - 69%
Height - 2ft 3in - 76%
Head Circumference - 17.4 - 85%

If I had to describe this girl in one word, it would be happiness.
She is so adorable. I love this girl to pieces.

At six months:

She is sitting up on her own great and is scooting around backwards. She is also getting around pretty good by rolling and twisting her way around the room. She sometimes pushes herself onto her knees, but so far no real attempt at crawling. I'm excited and dreading that at the same time.

She choked the other day on a piece of plastic wrapper she found on the floor. That was no good. She is definitely a mouth baby and obviously already puts whatever she can pick up into her mouth. I'll definitely have to be more careful with her than I had to with my other babies.

She is fitting very snugly in her 6-9 month clothes. It's funny to see her wearing outfits now that Eden wore when she was a year old. She isn't super chubby looking, but she is a heavy one! :)

We haven't tried a lot of variety of food for her yet, but so far she loves zucchini and doesn't like bananas.

If I hold her towards me, she usually always lays down on my shoulder and sucks her fingers. I absolutely adore those moments and try to capture those feelings to remember forever. It's so sweet, and she is growing so fast.

She is so happy and giggles a lot. She is starting to understand little games like peek-a-boo. She is also starting to pull blankets up to her face if she gets a hold of one. I think I'm going to have another blankie lover on my hands.

I love her to pieces, and can't squish and kiss her enough.
