This year for Eden's birthday she wanted to spend the day at Cliff's so we invited family along and had a great birthday celebration together.
Eden has always wanted to get her face painted, but we never do it because it's way overpriced, but when she's the birthday girl it becomes such a special thing to do. She was so excited and had to do that first thing when we arrived.

Her reaction to seeing herself all painted up. She was so excited.
We also got to play a couple games, which is another special treat.

We actually left Olivia home with a babysitter because she doesn't enjoy a long day at Cliff's like the rest of us. I missed her there though.
After Cliff's we got pizza and headed home to FINALLY open presents. Eden had to wait (not so) patiently for this time to come around.
The only thing she asked for was these talking birds. She loves to have them record what she says and they tweet back and forth to each other. She loves them.
The girls reactions to Eden's new bike getting wheeled into the room. I'm not sure who was more excited.
This year Eden requested a peacock cake. I was a little baffled and not quite sure what to do with that. This idea kind of got thrown together last minute, but she was very excited about it. Whew...
Then of course, our birthday tradition of measuring to see how much she has grown. She requested I take her hair out of it's bun so we could measure her just right. :)

Pretty good stretch up this past year!
Grandpa and Grandma Justice sent her a nice card and some money for her birthday, so this year I was really excited to take her out to choose her own present. She knew what her budget was, and this was her first time really doing this so it turned out to be a very difficult process for her! She was so cute as she pondered pretty much every option in the Toys R Us.
She filled the cart up with potential choices as we circled the store. When it came time to choose, she really needed a lot of time to make her decision. She sat around the toys for a long time just thinking and going back and forth about what she liked about each one. She finally decided to go with the Doc McStuffins ambulance and medical kit. She was excited to get home and start playing.
But first, we had to stop for a treat. :)
Here she is with her new birthday toy, all ready to line up her patients!

Oh how I love her! I am so glad she had a fantastic birthday! It looks like it was so fun. She is getting to be so grown up; I remember her first birthday and it doesn't seem possible that she is already 6!
Talk about a killer face painting. She got tons of compliments on it. And no idea where the peacock cake idea came from.
