Karly's Chin Injury

This was a bad one folks. Karly was on the island (she is most often always sitting on the counter, not in a chair), and she went to hop down and hit her chin on the edge of the counter on her way down. She hit it so hard that it hit her teeth together so forcefully and her gums were immediately swelling and bloody along the whole bottom line. Thanks to our good neighbor friend Christian, he was able to get her in right away to xray her jaw because he was worried she may have fractured it based on the way her teeth looked. Fortunately - no fracture and no long term damage. Within a couple hours though she had a monster bruise and was swollen all around her jaw and neck. Poor baby!

This second picture was taken a week after it happened. You can see how yellow and green the whole underside of her jaw is. Yikes.
