Fall Festival and Making Chili Ristras

This year Brad found some info for us to attend a new Fall Festival, so we were excited to come explore and have some new experiences together.  First thing they found was this outdoor piano.  All the kids had to jam a bit, which was fun.
Bentley was jamming "Mission Impossible" and gathered a little bit of an audience at one point, which he thought was fun.  He got some cheers.

Karly always has the best poses.  She is, by far, the one who likes to get her pictures taken the most.
Then we took off to explore through the corn maze.  This gave us a pretty good laugh because the corn stalks were only as tall as our hips, at best, which made getting through the maze very funny and easy.  It was still a fun walk, and we all spread out and went different directions, but we could see each other the whole time, which made it easy to not get lost, or not to lose any small children.

They had some fun activities for the kids that we enjoyed for a while.  The girls liked making bird feeders.

Bentley was hot, and bored - he wasn't into the bird feeder crafts. ha ha
Grandpa taught all the kids how to rope.  They learned it's way harder than it looks.

Finally Brad found something he could entertain Bentley with.  Jenga!

Watch out Brad - he looks like he might spit!
And we finished the day with a Chili Ristra Making class.  These ristras are a NM tradition and are seen everywhere so it was fun to learn to how to make them.  There were definitely some tough chilis to tie sometimes, but the kids did great and we ended up with some beautiful ristras to hang at home.

I love trying new things together!

What a fun family day, experiencing something new, and learning a new skill!  Thanks for organizing this Brad.
