Fun day at Navajo Lake!

A couple weekends ago, we spent the day at Navajo Lake (just a few hours north) and it was a blast! We sure are sad to see the summer coming to an end, but we're glad we got one last chance out at the lake!
...

So here's the group - Dad, mom, Erin, Brad, me, Cody (Michael's friend), and Michael!
...

First thing they had to do when we got there was scope out the good cliff diving spots.
This is Brad and Michael taking one of their many jumps!
...

Here's Brad and Cody looking down from one of the ledges just before taking the plunge!
...

Me and Erin getting ready for our ride!
...

Michael we were so happy you were able to come with us and we were sad to see you go back to Kansas!

...

Dad was really happy to be behind the wheel of a boat again, and he didn't lose his touch with creating a fun filled ride for anyone he was towing behind the boat!

Erin's Major Wipe-Out!

Ok, Erin defintely gets the prize for the worst wipe-out of the day (or should I say the best?). Note: No black eyes or broken nose resulted from this fall so we are ok to publish this for a good laugh! (Thanks Erin!)

Babysitting!

Since we have not yet been blessed with any babies of our own, we sure love to borrow other people's babies when they're up for grabs!! Chad and Annie FINALLY asked us babysit their cute little Lydia and I have to say it was the easiest babysitting job ever! Lydia is such a happy and easy going baby, and she even got to stay up past bedtime to watch the olympics with us! (Sorry Annie...)
For those of you who know Brad, you know that he is terrified of little babies so you would understand my suprise when I came around the corner and found these two laying on the floor carrying on a conversation! :o) I guess he only gets terrified when he has to hold them - and not even Brad can resist such a precious little baby! Chek out her hand on his shoulder, it's priceless!
Thanks Chad and Annie for trusting us with Lydia! We hope we can babysit again soon!

Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday Brad and I celebrated our 3rd year wedding anniversary! I can't believe it's been that long already! Because it was a Wednesday, of course we both had to work, so the celebration really didn't start until after a long day of hard work! Brad was very thoughtful though and personally delivered two dozen beautiful red roses to me at work and got major kudos from all the women I work with. They all think I'm spoiled! :o) After work we met up for a wonderful couples massage (very romantic) and finished off the evening with dinner at the Texas Roadhouse. Here's our silly picture from the parking lot at the massage place - most people must think we are very strange. :o) All I can say is that deciding to marry Brad three years ago was the best decision I ever made. The last three years have been better than I ever imagined and I look forward to many more to come! Thanks Brad for being such an amazing husband, and for all your thoughtfulness. I really got lucky when our paths crossed one another all those years ago at the good ol' West Mesa Branch. I love you and happy anniversary! :o)

Allie's Wedding!

Congrats to my most favorite cousin Allie and her new husband Zach! :o) Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of us on the actual wedding day, (I was a bridesmaid so I was slightly distracted!). These pictures are of the rehearsal the day before. The wedding was held at a mountain and lake overlook in Ridgeway, Colorado, and everything was absolutely beautiful! Welcome to this crazy family Zach!!
. . . .
Me and the bride! No, we didn't purposfully wear cordinating outfits! :o)
. . . . .

Tiffany did a great job on Allie's hair (as usual!)
. . . .

I helped keep the kids distracted while they went over the details of the wedding, and even got a great picture out of it!

Memories

Thanks Jessica for suggesting this... I think this will be fun!

Here's how you play:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Thanks for playing the memory game! :o)

Happy 4th of July!!

Because this is the 4th of July celebration, I have to begin by first paying tribute to my favorite soldier (which also happens to be my favorite brother!) :o) Michael - we are all so proud of you and the man you've become! We miss you terribly, but are so glad that you have found something you love doing! Keep up all the hard work, and we can't wait to see you again!!

. . .
The weather outside was so nice, so after enjoying a great barbeque we decided to take a stroll over to the park and hang out for a bit before the fireworks.

It took the boys a little bit to get these things figured out, but once they did, they really had fun hearing all Brad's good secrets! :o)

Oh... how cute...

Great posing everyone!

Dallen couldn't be in the group shot because he was having too much fun on the playground!
I wonder what was going through his mind... he looks very perplexed!

Our neighborhood did a block party and it was so much fun! Everyone joined together to light fireworks so we had a great show! (Not to mention the fact that Brad went a little over board on the giant box of fireworks from Sam's!)

He was smiling in the beginning, but as soon as the loud fireworks started, both Austin and Jaxon were not enjoying the holiday festivities and had to go in the house!

My favorite little fire-cracker....... holding a sparkler!

Thanks everyone for coming over to our house for the celebration! Tiff and Cam, we really missed you guys, but hope you had a great time in Utah!
Happy 4th of July!
