Snow Day!

Eden LOVES to play outside in the snow.  She woke up, saw the snow and immediately asked to suit up and go out. While I was helping her put her snow gear on she said, "this is the best day ever!"  It was way too fun - I had to let her miss preschool and we had a fun snow day at home.  Playing outside, hot cocoa and cuddling through a movie.  I love these days!

She loves to go around the yard and wipe the snow off of everything.

Bentley is not quite as fond of the snow as Eden.  Maybe it's the fact that his clothing leaves his movements quite restricted, but he sure looks adorable!

Eden was trying to teach him how to make a snowball so they could have a fight.  It was very cute to watch.

Picture Updates

Eden is such a great big sister and Olivia thinks she is so funny.
Eden liks to play for us while I'm getting everyone ready for church.
Naps at church are impossible now.  If tired enough, I can finally get her to fall asleep but I get her back in her chair, cozy and covered up and about ten minutes later she will start peeking out from under the blanket.
Eden's getting creative with her legos.  She wanted to make sure I got a picture of her helicopter.
I love this boy.  He hardly holds still, or sits on his bottom for long, even when watching TV.
Never too young to start watching the talking points on Fox News with her daddy.

Cute little Bentley, fell asleep surrounded by the books he was "reading"

The only way to keep socks on this girl - pull them up to her knees!

One afternoon we were bored so we got out our supplies and made us an alphabet train.  Bentley thinks it's really fun to try to match up the lowercase with the uppercase letters.
He gets really excited when he gets them all up.
Olivia doesn't know what to think of the love sac.  I throw her on there and she freezes like she doesn't dare move.  It's really funny.
Still frozen in place!
Eden is still way into dressing up.  Today she was Barbie popstar.

Sometimes Olivia gets an impromptu bath in the kitchen sink when I need two hands for making dinner or something.

I don't know why this is so cool, but these three love to play in the shower.

Playing hide and seek with these two always results in some interesting hiding places.

Actually putting much into the shopping cart besides small children is quite difficult. And yes, I get a lot of comments.
Two cute babies sharing one cozy blankie.
Olivia loves to beg for the kids to share whatever they are eating with her.

Olivia - 9 Months

9 Months Old!
- Olivia has 8 teeth, four on top and four on the bottom.
- She doesn't really like sleeping in a pack n' play, which makes traveling hard.  She is the best sleeper at home, but traveling with her is not so fun.
- She is starting to pull up on furniture and is very awkwardly trying to walk along it.
- She still LOVES the stairs and gets on them any chance she gets.
- She loves to smile and giggle at strangers.  Everywhere we go I get comments about her smiles and how happy she is.  I'm glad she helps brighten other peoples' days.
- She loves music and loves to dance.  She fits in great around here.  :)
- She gets nervous if anyone but mom or dad hold her and her smiles disappear.  She always keeps her eye on me if I'm in the room and will eventually start crying if I don't take her.
- She adores Eden and Bentley and gets so happy when they play with her.
- She says "Ah-Oh" when she drops something.  So cute.

Whenever her hands meet something soft, she has to suck her fingers and snuggle into it for a second.  I got this picture just a second too late after she sat back up.  She especially loves my bath robe and can't seem to stop following me around and snuggling in every time I stop walking.
She loves to play in the laundry while I'm trying to fold it.  This time the fitted sheet got the best of her and she couldn't get out.

She is wearing size 12 month clothes.  It's so weird to see her in the outfits that Eden wore at 18 months old.

She sleeps in very weird positions.

She adores me and thinks I'm really funny which is nice of course.

I can't resist kissing her cheeks, especially when she is asleep.

She loves being on daddy's shoulders and usually holds on to both his ears like funny little handles.

She no longer sits and plays with toys. She is constantly exploring the house.

I love this girl more than I can explain.  I'm so grateful she's mine!

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas

This year at Popejoy Hall, the broadway show "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" came to town.  We had 6 tickets so we told Eden she could invite a couple of her friends Lilly and Makayla May.  And graciously, in exchange, their mom Anita offered to keep Olivia while we went.  It was a lot of fun.

The kids enjoyed some cheesecake and popcorn in the lounge before the show started.

Getting ready to start! They were all very excited!
The show was a little over an hour and a half so I was a little worried about how Bentley would do but he did great.  Just about the last ten minutes he started walking around in the aisle between Brad and I,  but all the kids seemed to be quite entertained.  Mayakla didn't like the Grinch's fingers, and Bentley kept saying "it's not scary, it's just pretend."  They were very cute, and all of them were very happy they got to go.  I really enjoy these experiences with my kids.  So much fun.
