Easter Festivities

Sunday, April 9th is Easter this year, and Eden and I have to catch a morning flight out to Cincinnati, so we did a few of our Easter traditions early this year.  It was a fun Saturday morning of soccer games, and then Saturday afternoon of Easter activities with the Murdoch's and grandma and grandpa.

We started off by making the bird nests.  These are always a hit - thanks grandma!

Then we went outside to dye eggs.  My kids have all gotten to the independent egg dying stage and it's so nice!  I forgot how "fun" this is with 2 year olds!

I think Olive managed to get her hands more color than all the eggs.  Funny girl - it looks like she is wearing green gloves, but no, that's her skin.

This year was a bit of an experiment.  The price of eggs is really high right now, and Walmart had these white plastic eggs that came with dye kits.  It was actually a win win to not have to buy and boil real eggs that don't get eaten, and they were half the price! Success!

After our eggs were all colorful, we had a fun Easter egg hunt swim party.  The kids thought it was a blast to collect as many eggs as they could in the pool.  Is this the start of a new tradition, who knows?!

Brad - playing peek -a-boo with the babies. Everyone loves having these girls around and they get lots of attention.
It was such a fun afternoon of Easter celebrations.  We love having family close to celebrate with!
