Staying entertained...

A few days ago, for being so brave, Eden got to pick a prize from the hospital treasure box.  She found this tiny digital camera and was absolutely thrilled.  We took lots if walks around the PICU halls taking pictures of the pictures hanging on the walls, or the window (there really wasn't a lot of options for creativity in there.) Now that we are in the new unit we will have many more options for pictures to take.  It will be fun.
And otherwise we are staying sane by continuing to burn through crafts, building Legos, reading books and watching movies.
Eden got an amazing surprise from her Aunt Julie, uncle Jeff and their kids in Tennessee.  They had all made her a very sweet card, and sent a cute purse full of fun stuff.  She was so excited and happy about it, especially the Elsa activity book which she has been working on hardly non stop since she received it last night.  They also sent some cars for Bentley.  It was so very thoughtful and I hope they know how much we appreciate their love and support.
We have also loved that we can make FaceTime calls.  Eden has loved being able to see and talk to family and friends.

We also had some visitors last night, Scott and Cindy Gunderson.  They brought us fresh homemade scones and some palisade peaches.  It was such a delicious treat and so fun to visit with them.  We don't get to see them nearly enough and it was so fun to catch up.  We had some good laughs and it felt great.  Thanks guys for coming to visit us here in the hospital!

As a random side note, Eden has this weird issue going on with her arm.  They removed the tape that was above her IV and this weird sore was under there.  She says now that it hurts but she never complained about it until we started asking her about it.  They aren't sure what it is actually, but it looks like a bunch of tiny blisters.  They have been putting some ointments on it with a breathable bandaid so hopefully it will heal quickly.  There's always something around this place....

Ouch that weird sore looks like it hurts! Maybe an allergic reaction to the tape? I am so happy to see all the great things people send and bring to you guys as you are there. You are all loved and we can't wait to see you!
