Bentley has been pretty into hockey lately so we thought it would be fun to take him to a semi-pro hockey game. Eden and Olive wanted to come too, but Karly said "yeah, no thanks." So Karly got to go on a birthday date with grandma and grandpa while the rest of us went to the game. It was a win-win all around! We had a blast, and so did Karly!
Being at a live hockey game is so much fun. The energy is awesome and it was really fun to go together as a family.
The game was 1-0 for almost the entire game. It did get into a bit of a lull mid game, and the girls started getting a little bored. I later discovered all the photo gems they were spending their time on.
In the last quarter of the game, our team finally scored and tied the game. Things got really exciting again. We ended up going into double over time, and then a shoot out. We lost, but it was such a fun and intense experience as the teams fought for victory. We all decided that being a goalie during a shoot out would be incredibly stressful. Overall it was a great night hanging out and enjoying something new together. Thanks for the inspiration to go Bentley!
