Welcome 2022!

Welcome to a new year!  I love the idea of a fresh start, and always feel a renewed energy towards life when a new year rolls around.  However, we are still battling the pandemic, and life as we knew it before is still not "back to normal" but we continue to make some progress.   The state still has an indoor mask mandate, which means the kids are still in masks at school, we are in masks at church and in businesses, but we are pretty accustomed to it at this point.  We have another variant "Omicron" which is surging right now, so we are just keeping our fingers crossed that school won't go virtual again. We are just pushing forward, doing our best to live "with" the pandemic, instead of trying to hide or control it.  We are hopeful that this year will put this COVID pandemic behind us.  Here's to 2022!

We worked on our vison boards and set some goals for the year.  Its always fun to see what the kids come up with.

Eden-- Intellectual: travel, sleep good, read, practice instruments, be adventurous, journal, start writing a book, learn to sew.  Physical: meditate, swim, be active, regularly exercise.  Spiritual: be a messenger of peace, do Family Search, go to the temple, read the scriptures and keep up with Come Follow Me, ponder the spiritual messages I receive.  Social: earn money babysitting, speak up, make new friends, get to know the youth better

Bentley-- Intellectual: study school harder, focus. Spiritual: learn to hear Jesus Christ, know that I am a child of God.  Physical: improve at sports. Social: introduce myself to new people.
Olive-- Intellectual: explore.  Physical: eat healthy, keep it going.  Spiritual: be grateful, read scriptures, pray, have faith in Jesus Christ, follow Jesus by getting baptized. Social: sing in front of bigger groups of people.
Karly-- Social: work on sharing, especially with Lola, pitch in when there's work to do. Physical: back stretches so my back feels better. Practice ice skating. Ride my bike every week. Eat healthy foods. Try not to eat candy.  Spiritual: practice more meaningful prayers, try to make good choices.  Intellectual: read a little every day, watch art classes and learn more about painting, drawing and staying in the lines.

Here's to another great year of experiences together as a family, and a whole lot of personal growth.  Bring it on!
