Easter

We LOVE Easter!  It is such a fun holiday around here, and today was especially great.  It's also April Fool's Day so the temptation was real strong to really mess with them, but I didn't.

These babies were so cute posing on the stairs before heading down to see what was in their baskets.

So many goodies!! Bentley was most excited about some new board games.

Karly got "The Three Little Pigs" book.  She fell in love with this when we checked it out from the library so we had to add it to her collection.

Eden added to her Harry Potter collection with the "Fantastic Beasts" book.
Olive's highlight was her sparkly princess high heels.

They opened their Easter cards from Grandma and Grandpa Justice.  They love making crafts with the stickers that are always inside.

After we got some good play time with the things in their baskets, we loaded up and headed down south to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Today was also General Conference so it was the perfect day to participate in the traditional Easter celebrations in between listening to the sessions of conference.  It was a great day.

The kids loved making bird nests.  They think it's really fun when I remind them that I did this all growing up too.  Thank you grandma!

Butterscotch "sticks", jellybean "eggs", and peeps for the birdies.  Delicious!

Session one of conference began and grandpa helped do lots of puzzles while we listened.

Brad and nap #1.

In between sessions we had a delicious Easter meal and a huge Easter egg hunt.  With no cousins around, these four had to find all the eggs spread throughout this huge yard.

Karly is at such a fun age for egg hunting.  She was genuinely excited and amazed with every egg she found.  She also couldn't believe her luck when she reazlied that every egg was full of candy.

Bentley took the egg hunting very seriously.  Look at that stride!

Then we went back inside for session #2 of conference, and nap #2 for Brad.  Looks like Grandpa wanted in on this one too.

After conference was over, we headed outside to dye the eggs. It's inevitable that this turns into a big mess, but they all love it so much.

Karly loves to hang out in the chicken coop.  This time I wouldn't let her in because she didn't have shoes on, but I couldn't resist the photo op of this adorable little body.

I'm so grateful for the wonderful Easter Sunday with my family.  I love when Conference is on Easter and the uplifting messages, the reminder of Christ, and the reason for the celebrations. It was the perfect day.
